On the night of Sunday, March 28, Ukraine will switch to daylight saving time – at 3:00 the hands of the clock will move one hour forward, as provided by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of May 13, 1996 № 509 “On the procedure for calculating time in Ukraine.”
In Ukraine, the weather changes twice a year: on the last Sunday in March, the country switches to summer time, and every last Sunday in October – to winter time.
On March 19, 2021, the Verkhovna Rada sent a bill for revision to the second reading, which provides for the abolition of the transition from summer to winter time in Ukraine and vice versa.
If the bill was supported in Ukraine, the second time zone UTC (UA) +2 would be established forever. The so-called “winter time”.
