VIII International Congress “Innovative technologies in gynecology, mammology and aesthetic medicine”

Recently, a traditional event was held in Kyiv VIII International Congress “Innovative technologies in gynecology, mammology and aesthetic medicine”, which this year is dedicated to the anniversary of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 3 of the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets Once again, a powerful international forum gathered the leading specialists of Ukraine and Europe to determine promising directions for the further development of innovations in modern gynecological practice, mammology and aesthetic medicine.

Exchange of many years of experience on topical issues of women’s health between the leading clinics of Ukraine and Germany – University Clinic of Freiburg, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 3 and Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Neonatology Postgraduate Education of the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets; “Feofania” Clinical Hospital of Kyiv City Medical Center; State University “IPAG named after Academician O.M. Lukyanova National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” will contribute to professional improvement and scientific progress in modern practical gynecology and aesthetic medicine.

The extraordinary interest of the participants of the Congress was aroused by the professional reports of the head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 3, Professor Vasyl Benyuk, devoted to conceptual approaches to the management of genitourinary syndrome in the context of aesthetic gynecology and problems of prevention of relapses of hyperplastic processes of the endometrium in premenopausal women. Considerable attention was paid to the problem of genital prolapse at the forum. Leading specialists of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology #3, Professor Vadym Goncharenko, Associate Professors Ihor Usevich and Ihor Maidannyk shared their experience of using modern technologies in the treatment of genital prolapse and surgical correction of anomalies in the position of female genital organs. The professor of the State University “IPAG named after Academician O.M. Lukyanova National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” Iryna Zhabchenko, who noted the peculiarities of pregnancy and childbirth in conditions of genital prolapse. Professor Dmytro Hovseev devoted his report to the problem of aesthetic gynecology – “Gynecologist on guard of female beauty”.

Congress participants demonstrated the best developments, which were embodied in innovative technologies and creative approaches in the treatment of modern women. Irresistible interest was aroused by the international master class of the professor of the Freiburg University Clinic, Florin-Andrii Taran, “Individualization of surgical treatment in gynecology”, the video master class of the associate professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 3 Yuriy Druppa, “Practical case of genital reconstruction in women”, materials of the senior scientific Maria Scherbak, an employee of the department of sexology and andrology of the “Institute of Urology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” of the State University of Ukraine, regarding the prevention of the long-term consequences of surgical interventions that women have undergone on the organs of the small pelvis.

Professor Vasyl Benyuk noted that despite the difficulties of wartime, invincible Kyiv once again became the center of consolidation of European scientific opinion and specialists of the practical health care system, the flagship of the discussion of new perspectives in the field of women’s health. He addressed the organizers and participants of the Congress with words of gratitude for the indomitable will and desire to continue the work of the forum during the current war in Ukraine, for creative ideas and a wide range of scientific and practical issues discussed, as well as for the high appreciation of the many years of hard work of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 3 regarding professional improvement and scientific progress in modern gynecology, mammology and aesthetic medicine.

The head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 3 expressed the hope that holding an international Congress of such a high level will provide an opportunity for the participants of the forum, the number of which increases every year, to meet after the Victory of Ukraine under the peaceful sky of Kyiv, to exchange experience, professional assets and achievements, to determine promising directions for the future cooperation, which is extremely important for the unified information space of European countries and scientific, practical and cultural integration.
