The academic exchange program for postgraduate students of NMU at the Warsaw Medical University is ongoing
Starting from October 1, 2022, a two-month academic exchange program for postgraduate students has been launched Erasmus+ within the framework of cooperation between the Warsaw Medical University (Warszawski Uniwersytet Medyczny, Warsaw, Republic of Poland) and the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets Within the scope of the project, 5 graduate students were able to pass Clinical Fellowship in university hospitals of Warsaw Medical University.
Therefore, Tetyana Ivanets (general surgery), Nataliya Semenko (anesthesiology and intensive care), Nataliya Babchenko (otolaryngology), Kateryna Spichak (obstetrics and gynecology), Anna Romanova (maxillofacial surgery) participate in the academic exchange program for postgraduate students.
This program was made possible thanks to the initiative of the rector of NMU, Professor Yury Kuchyn, and the fruitful work of the departments of international relations and science. We also express our great gratitude to the management of the Warsaw Medical University and the rector, prof. Zbigniew Gaciong for his warm welcome and support.
The main goal of the internship is to create academic connections and expand the boundaries of scientific cooperation between universities. A significant part of the work of graduate students within the program is the creation of joint projects and the writing of scientific publications in cooperation with supervisors at internship bases.
The practical part of the internship involves the acquisition of practical and theoretical skills that will help in further activities in Ukraine. An important aspect is a close familiarity with the Polish health care system and the model of work of university hospitals. The experience gained will be implemented in the work of the NMU University Clinic, which is the leading direction of development of our University.
In the future, the expansion of the cooperation program and the participation of a significant number of scientific staff of NMU in the project are planned.
