As we reported, on March 26, 2021, the second of the three planned Open Days took place at the University. The Admissions Committee processed data from an anonymous survey of applicants, which is traditionally conducted among potential students. It allows the University to see a slice of future students, to understand what their expectations and requirements for educational services are. Having thoroughly studied the processed data, the Admissions Committee publishes the results of an anonymous questionnaire.
On March 26, 394 entrants took part in the study, of which 78 were boys and 316 were girls, 348 were under 20 and 46 were over the age of twenty. To the question: did any of the relatives have anything to do with medicine, the answers were distributed as follows: 29 respondents – both parents, 69 – one of the parents, 108 – brother or sister, 188 – none of the relatives have anything to do with medicine.
Every year the quality of the contingent of entrants improves, so we are interested to know where entrants received secondary education. According to the survey, 143 people study in Kyiv, 160 in the city or regional center, 37 in the district center, 23 in rural areas, and 31 in the rest.
The vast majority of respondents registered for testing in biology – 266 people, in mathematics – 35, in chemistry – 29, in physics – 83.
To the question: “What specialty do you want to get after graduating from NMU?” respondents answered: medicine – 288, dentistry – 87, pediatrics – 45, pharmacy, industrial pharmacy – 39, physical therapy, occupational therapy – 18, medical psychology – 35, dental technician – 7.
The majority of respondents, namely 271, expressed a desire to study at the University at the expense of the budget, and 123 people – on a contract basis.
The results of the survey showed that 307 respondents learned about the Open Day from the NMU website, from the Admissions Committee (by phone) – 10, from the media – 7, from parents – 28, from friends (acquaintances) – 24. Finally decided to join the NMU – 351 entrants and 43 – have not yet made a final decision.
Another meeting with entrants is ahead. It will be recalled that the Open Day at NMU named after OO The mantis will be held on April 30.
