Recently, the II Scientific and Practical Conference “Okhmatdyt Readings” was held under the auspices of the National Children’s Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdyt”. Departments of the Medical Faculty No. 3 of the O.O. National Medical University took part in the organization of the event. Bogomolets, in particular, children’s surgery and anesthesiology and intensive therapy, which work on the basis of the hospital. The reports presented were the result of the joint work of the entire team of the hospital with the employees of the University’s departments. Despite the war, our specialists continue to develop and share their experience.

During the conference, more than 120 reports devoted to the treatment of children with surgical and somatic pathology were presented. The head of the department of children’s surgery, professor Anatoliy Levytskyi noted the great importance of such scientific and practical activities, which make it possible to analyze the results of one’s work and to discuss with colleagues problematic issues of treatment of complex surgical pathologies and to improve the level of care for children.

Professor Levytskyi also expressed his gratitude to the rector of NMU, Professor Yury Kuchyn, Dean of the Medical Faculty No. 3, Professor Oksana Vyhovska, and the administration of the “Okhmatdyt” hospital, its general director Volodymyr Zhovnir, for their assistance and participation in the scientific and practical conference.

We will remind that within the framework of the event, the rector of NMU and the general director of the “Okhmatdyt” hospital signed a Memorandum of Cooperation ( As part of the implementation of the agreements, it is planned to implement joint scientific activities in the field of health care and to create a University Children’s (Pediatric) Clinic.
